Boscarelli Vino Nobile di Montepulciano 1999: A deep garnet red colour with a residual touch of purple. Lovely nose, which although dumb at first evolves over several hours to reveal aromas of violets, charcoal and dense black fruits. Rich texture on entry. Through the endpalate the tannins and acidity sit with the plentiful fruit, adding a note of austerity but overall it has balance. Quite elegant, and delicious. Needs two years in the cellar.
